Chinese technology company SenseTime has unveiled a broad portfolio of new AI-powered products, including a chatbot and image generation technology, as it seeks to compete in the global race sparked by OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT.<\/p>\n
SenseTime CEO Xu Li gave a live demonstration of the company\u2019s new chatbot, “SenseChat,” showing how it can use artificial intelligence to write emails and tell stories. The company\u2019s co-founder, Wang Xiaogang, said the products are powered by the latest version of “SenseNova,” a model SenseTime has developed over the past five years. Large AI models are trained on massive datasets using powerful computing infrastructure. The company, which is subject to US sanctions, did not disclose detailed plans for launching the products. SenseTime also showcased image generation technology, a digital platform for creating avatar models, and two complementary 3D modelling tools. Global interest in AI technology has surged since ChatGPT emerged in late 2022.
