The index provides authoritative data that enables nations and decision-makers to understand structural shifts, address emerging challenges, and identify strategic future pathways. The Kingdom also secured first place worldwide in the proportion of individuals with standard Information and Communications Technology (ICT) skills. The Global Knowledge Index comprises seven composite sub-indices assessing performance across six vital knowledge sectors: pre-university education, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), higher education, ICT, research, development and innovation (R&D&I), and the economy, alongside an enabling environment sub-index that diagnoses the broader social, political, economic, health, and environmental context supporting these domains. In the technical and vocational education index, Saudi Arabia led the world in the percentage of students enrolled in post-secondary non-tertiary vocational programs. By identifying key national strengths and growth areas, the GKI underscores the close link between knowledge and development amid rapid global transformations. As the only global index dedicated to evaluating knowledge across nations, it offers a vital contribution to international development indicators, equipping policymakers with reliable benchmarks to anticipate future trends and drive sustainable progress.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
According to the Global Knowledge Index 2022, published by MBRF and UNDP, Saudi Arabia ranked first globally in the percentage of the population using the internet.
