OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, has introduced a major advancement for mobile and software developers by officially launching APIs for ChatGPT and Whisper. According to tech publication Engadget, developers can now seamlessly integrate ChatGPT’s conversational model and Whisper speech-to-text transcription directly into their mobile applications. OpenAI also updated its terms of service, allowing developers to opt out of using their data for model training alongside a standard 30-day data retention policy. The new API is priced at $0.002 per 1,000 tokens (approximately 750 words), with dedicated capacity options available for enterprise and high-volume workloads.
